Stress and Joint Pain

Q. If you’re under a lot of stress, can it make your joints hurt?

Stress constricts blood vessels, and it’s important for joint health that you have good circulation to your joints. Stress often interferes with sleep. The best quality sleep is before 10 pm. Now fortunately, the government changes the time in the summer, so 11 o’clock is really 10. The interesting thing about the data is growth hormone and melatonin, that are two restorative hormones in the body, those are secreted best before midnight. And you want to get to bed early, and you want your blood sugar to be falling. So make sure you don’t eat or snack before bed. That will optimize circulation to the joints, and that will help you.
