Baked Pecan & Yam Casserole

This recipe is the epitome of autumn, comfort, and warmth--all baked together in one perfect casserole.  Try serving it at your next big gathering of friends and family.

Instructions

  1. Steam yams until thoroughly cooked.
  2. Mash peeled yams and all ingredients except pecans, stirring in the amount of milk needed to make a moist texture (or mix milk and syrup with seasonings and raisins, fold into diced yams).

  3. Place in a casserole dish and top with pecans.
  4. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 20-30 minutes.

Ready in about: 40 min. (once yams are steamed)

Makes: 6-8 servings
