Adapted from Arrowhead Mills Cookbook
- Wash rice in a strainer.
- Brown rice lightly in a dry skillet, stirring constantly (this step is optional).
- Combine the onions, basil, oregano, salt, vegetable powder and water in a baking dish.
- Add the rice and mix well. Cover and bake 350° F for 1 hour.
- Uncover the rice and top with tomato slices.
- Cover and return to oven and bake for 15 minutes more.
