Instructions

  1. Place flours and salt into a large bowl and stir in enough of the water to make a kneadable dough.
  2. Knead for about 5 minutes. Cover dough in bowl and let rest for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Break dough into golf-ball-sized pieces, shaping each one round.
  4. Place ball on floured surface and with a rolling pin, roll into a very thin round, about 1/16-inch thick. Repeat with the remaining balls.
  5. Heat a dry skillet to medium. Cook about 15 seconds each side. Flip again and repeat cooking time.
  6. Stack on a clean towel and keep warm until serving time. Yields 16 chapati.

    Can anyone please tell me if whole wheat flour can be replaced for pastry flour in biscuits and chapatti also?  Thank you very much for your help.  God bless.
