A great tasting, easy to make cream cheese. Eat it on bagels for breakfast or add it to different dips.
- Place in blender and blend for at least 1 minute until smooth.
Bring to a boil on stove, stirring constantly.
- Pour into containers, cover, and chill to thicken.
Hint: For quicker thickening, divide into smaller amounts and make several flavors before chilling.
For Variations: add the following to 1⁄2 cup of the spread:
Strawberry: 2 tablespoons sugar-free strawberry jam.
French Onion Spread: 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon Beef-Like Seasoning.
Dill and Chive Spread: 1⁄4 teaspoon dill weed, 2 teaspoons chopped fresh or dried chives, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and c teaspoon garlic powder.
Pimento Cheese Spread: Blend into 1 cup Cream Cheese Spread, 1⁄4 cup pimentos, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder.
Ready in about: 15 minutes (plus the time to thicken in the refrigerator)
