- Blend cashews in about 1 cup of the water until very smooth.
- Add remaining ingredients and continue blending until smooth.
- Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened.
Yields: 2 ½ cups or 10 servings.
Variation: Omit salt and add 2 teaspoons chicken-style seasoning or an all-purpose vegetable seasoning.
