Mung Bean Soup

Instructions

  1. Cook first 5 ingredients until beans are tender (1 hour)
  2. Add aminos and salt to taste.
  3. Simple but delicious!!

Serves 4-6

NOTE: Mung beans can be found in any Asian market or you can check the Asian aisle of your local grocery store

    Do you soak the mung beans before cooking?

    It would make the cooking time shorter to presoak the beans, but is not necessary as they cook rather quickly in comparison to larger beans.

    I don’t think Bragg’s Liquid Aminos is the most healthful product, even though it is Non-GMO and organic. It’s a refined amino acid, which Dr. Russell Blaylock warns is deadly to the brain. (His book, “The Taste That Kills.”  Watch his videos on You Tube about excitotoxins.)  Klondike Mountain Health Retreat (Adventist) also has a compelling video on the subject.

    I use mushroom powder without msg. It is available in hawaiian markets and other asian market.
