    Is my stress keeping my body from turning tryptophan into serotonin. Should I be on an anti-depressant to lessen my stress. My pharmacist said “L-tryptophan… should not be administered with serotonin reuptake blocking drugs.

    Dr Nedley, what effect does MTHFR gene mutation have on stress levels? Will it help to have high tryptophan foods - or will I also need to supplement with methylfolate?
